McCain: Facts are Hard!

This is too amazing for words.

As you probably know, the House voted the bailout package down.

It failed because Republicans in tight races in swing states decided to vote against it in droves.

Just to be perfectly clear: the final vote was 228 ("no") to 205 ("yes"). If you break the "no" votes down, you will find that 133 Republicans voted "no" along with 95 Democrats. If you break the "yes" votes down, 140 Democrats voted "yes", along with 65 Republicans.

So, what does John McCain do? He blames the Democrats for the failure. I guess simple facts are difficult for McCain to understand. (Just in case McCain is reading this: More Republicans voted "no" than Democrats... the blame falls on their shoulders!)

Unbelievable, since earlier in the day, he was claiming credit for the success of the bailout.

Based on his actions over the last two weeks, and for picking Palin as his running mate, I think McCain should simply withdraw from the race. Hasn't he embarrassed himself and our country enough?
