Maja's Last Day

Maja, a teacher at Lilja's pre-school had her last day this past Friday due to the start of her maternity leave. (Maja is due two weeks AFTER L. is due, so L. should really start taking a break from work now too!)

Lilja really liked Maja and is going to miss her quite a bit. It wasn't too long after Lilja started going to Bodøgården that Lilja liked going to Maja as soon as we arrived in the morning... it really made the transition easy. (Lilja likes her other teachers, of course, but she established a connection with Maja quite quickly!) Lilja is enchanted by the fact that Maja is going to have a baby and likes to say "baby is hiding" to the question "Where is Maja's baby?" (She says the same thing about L.'s baby!) Indeed, with both Maja and Leysia pregnant, Lilja is now convinced that she has a baby hiding inside of her! Its very cute to see how fascinated Lilja is with this.

At her going away party, Maja said that she's going to miss Lilja a lot and that she really enjoyed getting to know Lilja over the past nine months. If possible, Maja is going to try to come back to visit Lilja one more time before we return to the states in July. That will be really nice and Lilja is looking forward to it!
