Republican Chickenhawks

Here is an excellent video showing the hypocrisy of college republicans who fervently believe in the war we are waging in Iraq but have other priorities when it comes to enlisting and serving in Iraq. I'm sure it brings a tear to our chickenhawk-in-chief Dick Cheney's eyes.

Enjoy,

What happened before the Big Bang?

Check out this excellent post on recent advances on modeling our Universe, focusing specifically when T <= 0 (i.e. before the main event had occurred).

iPhone

I took the family down to the Apple store on Friday night at 6 PM to watch the hoopla surrounding the release of Apple's iPhone. There were about 200 people lined up at the Apple Store at 29th Street Mall in Boulder CO. Of those 200 people, I saw a healthy percentage of them walk away with TWO iPhones each. Indeed, analysts are estimating that Apple sold anywhere between 250K to over 500K of these babies this past weekend. (I think those numbers are low since they don't take into consideration orders placed at Apple's on-line store, but we'll see.

I didn't buy an iPhone this weekend, but I did go into their stores to try one out (twice actually) and they are amazing! The UI is responsive and usable and beautiful.

Apple has a hit on their hands!
